On one of the message boards that I like to read/occasionally post on, there is a big discussion going on about a friendly little thing posted that was intended to uplift a few guys. Well now it has turned into a feminist fight. So I have decided to take this opportunity to make a confession.
I like alpha males.
I want my guy to be able to protect me from bad guys, I want him to do nice things for me. This does not make me less of a woman and I would of course want my partnership to be just that a partnership, I am capable of making decisions and we can work through things together.
Just because he might hold the door for me doesn't mean he is belittling me or trying to make me feel inferior as a human being. It just means he wants to do nice things for me and he should! I'm worth it!
I like it when my man is bigger than me physically, not because I have some twisted desire to be beaten, but because it makes me feel cherished, and safe and such. This is not a crime. Some people's kids...

I think thats slightly judgemental and a wee bit untrue. I agree with some of the points they're making are very true.
