Happy Thanksgiving, blah, blah, blah. I hate this stupid holiday and I just want to skip it. Theresa posted a list of things she is thankful for over on her blog, and it was, in my opinion, entirely too positive, (good work, T). So, here is a short list of things I'm thankful for. Some serious, some facetious, some sarcastic (there is a difference in meaning of those two words).
--I'm thankful that Thanksgiving is only one day.
--I'm thankful that I have 6 bottles of wine in my trunk, these will aid greatly in my survival today.
--I'm thankful that I live 45 minutes away from the thanksgiving festivities giving me a legitimate excuse to leave rather early from the "festivities".
In all seriousness
--I'm thankful for my immediate family, ie, my mother.
--I'm thankful for my good job, that while, sometimes drives me insane, I experience a lot more satisfaction at my job than most people. And it allows me to be 100 percent financially independent, something I would never have thought possible.
--I'm thankful for all the new, amazing people who have entered my life. I would never have imagined the depth and variety of relationships that the Batcave would elicit. Theresa, Sarah, and Rachel, Long Live Team Chipotle! Erika, Reid, Brian, Barb, Bobbi, Kristie, and Nick, not to mention everyone else.
--I'm thankful for the people in my life who have been there consistently through varying numbers of years. Carrie, Toni, and JoAnna for starters.

:) Love ya
6 bottles of wine in your trunk, huh? So, what's going to aid in your survival of tomorrow?
Go easy, there!
I'm thankful for drunken voicemails. You have no idea how much I laughed over that.
Sadly there was no wine or cow-tipping at my family thanksgiving.
Drunken voicemails... that's awesome. Care to elaborate Dawn?
um, I don't remember exactly what was said... You may want to ask rach/ndtf to elaborate...
Something about drinking wine and tipping the big-ass cow in my hometown. Then it was "Who wants to say hi to Rachel?" Then a bunch of people said "Hi Rachel!"
I believe the time on it was somewhere in the 4:00 p.m. hour.
Excellent!
See Dawn, that's what friends are for! Thanks Rachel!
No problem, Carly-ann! Drunk dials from Dawn (holy alliteration!) are always entertaining!
I should give her my number!
:shame: I don't even remember making the calls. I keep getting phone calls from people saying thanks for calling. . .
