Well, I had a long weekend this weekend. I love working for the government. We get every little teeny tiny holiday off. I didn't have to work on Friday, so Erika and I decided to travel to Bismarck, ND to visit Rachel. Beth decided to join us and off we went. (This was not as random as our trip to Sioux Falls last week. We've been planning this for quite awhile.)
I was quite sick on Thursday, I didn't go to work, or class. (I did stop by class around 4, just to take the test.) I headed for Erika's around 4:30 where I informed her she would be driving and I would be sleeping in the back seat. We climbed in the car, and took off for Nimrod. Yes, Nimrod. Upon arrival in Nimrod, we were introduced to Erika's father, (nice man) and George. George is my new boyfriend. There was heavy petting, and he sat on my lap. Beth and I retired early, I slept in th emost comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Unfortunately, George didn't join me. Apparently he only has eyes for Erika. I'm crushed and I'm not sure how I'll ever console myself.
Friday morning we were on the road by nine o'clock. I once again slept in the back seat while Erika took control of the driving. We stopped once for fuel, and arrived in Bismarck around 1:30. I took a nap (seeing a pattern here?) and Erika, Beth and Rachel went for a walk where they discovered that they swing both ways, and they climbed Bismarck Mountain. We went to Space Aliens for dinner and headed back to Rachels for some drinks and hanging out. Erika spent the night IM'ing nick, and it was quite funny. (How nerdy are we?) It was tortuous at times, but, funny nonetheless.
Saturday, the weather was terrible, we headed to both Bismarck malls, where I got to look at shoes, which was fun, because, really, it's shoes. We went back to Rachel's apartment where Erika and I took a nap (alone, not together boys, sorry.) It snowed all afternoon and it was beautiful. I love snow.
ETA: How could I have forgotten the cow tipping? We also traveled to New Salem, North Dakota to vist the world's largest Holstein cow. Salem Sue. It was freezing at the top of Salem Sue's hill and we didn't spend a lot of time up there, but we did try to push her over. We were unsuccessful, due largely to the fact that Salem Sue weighs 12,000 pounds. But, we tried, and really that is all anyone can ask.
We went to Tropical Island Restaurant for dinner, as we were walking in Erika nailed me. with a snowball. At the restaurant, the bartender forgot to put triple sec and lime juice in our margaritas, so we enjoyed some extremely large tequila shots. We had to ask the waitress to bring us some things to modify them with they were so strong. After dinner we went out for dessert and bach to Rachel's where Erika drank several margaritas and once again tortured me by talking to Nick. We got some drunken IM's from Bobbi and once she ran out of wine, we arranged for Kristie to travel to Bobbi's with some replacement alcohol. Good times were had by all.
We left Bismarck around eight this morning and arrived in Chaska by 2:30. That's some good time, including 3 stops for bathrooms and food. Now I'm home and spent the evening shopping for some new clothes con mi madre. And then I was bored. Very bored.

We also went cow tipping.
ack! how could I forget the cow???
I'm glad I could provide entertainment, even in absentia!
George is not Erika's Dad, nor is he a cat.
And that's why I use word verification!
but it only took me a second to delete it permanently rather than annoying everyone who posts on my blog.
I won't use it. And I don't comment as often on blogs that have it. :P
Oooh! Oooh! Oooh! Cow tipping. I've been reading about this in the paper and dying for a chance to use it! This si what scientists here at UBC have come up with:
