Merry Christmas everyone.
yesterday some friends and I had a mini-christmas party, lots of food, and we watched the seventh game of the 1987 world series. (Twins won!) We went sledding and skating, it was muy fun.
And now, I must go get ready togo to work at the MALL. Yes, folks, I have to work at the mall on Christmas Eve. NOT looking forward to it. I got up early and spent the morning so far making food for my family. Joy.

Clay and I met when we worked at the mall... way, way back... 13 years ago now. We were just discussing today how great it was to work on Christmas Eve. Everybody thinks it's nuts, but really, it's the best day to work (and be paid for!) because it's SO calm. Was your day way more mellow than you'd expected? I hope so!

ack, it wasn't horrible, but it definately wasn't mellow. It was vry steady leaning towards busy. Labor day is the best day to work at my mall.
Sorry to hear that. I hope you were all prepared for the holiday before you went to work then. I remember that we used to get a LOT of stuff done because it was so quiet.
I did hear, though, that because of the way the holidays fell this year, by having Christmas Eve on a Saturday, it would be the busiest one (as far as shopping is concerned) in a long time. I guess they were right.
Thanks for being a great hostess! It was a fun party, even with less than ideal ice-skating conditions.
