Everything's free in America. For a small fee in America.

Tonight. Tonight. The world is full of light.

Why is that? Oh, because I get to go see West side story tonight at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre. West Side Story (music by Leonard Bernstein and Lyrics by Steven Sondheim. Oh yes, Sondheim.) is my favorite musical.

I've never seen it performed on stage. I've seen the movie, and listened to the Original London Revival Cast Recording that Kegger gave me for Christmas one year when we were like 15 and 16. (That kid gives good presents for a guy. No one else in my family ever would have thought to give me an OCR for my favorite musical, but a straight, 16-year-old boy did...) I've also never been to the Chanhassen.

I'm pretty excited about it. I get to see Toni, whom I haven't seen in months, since last summer. It's free.

oh yes, it's free. Toni's mother gave her a gift certificate to the Chanhassen and said, "here you go, but I'm not going with you." So Toni called me, and through some trials, here we have arrived at the day! eeee! I'm so excited.

So, in a few more hours, I'm going to be sitting at THE.FRONT.TABLE. Eating a free dinner, (I'm either getting steak, or prime rib.) drinking free drinks, (we have $60 bucks left after tickets and dinner to play around with. I could get very drunk on half that), and I might even splurge and get myself some dessert. Toni too. So you all have a great time tonight, I'll be enjoying myself, that's for sure.

oh, and happy birthday rach.
