To me, old age is always 15 years older than I am.

I don't have a whole lot to say, it's been a weird weekend.

Yesterday afternoon, I had lunch with Kristen and Nadia, then we stopped at Caribou, then we headed out to buy fish. I bought three cool looking fish, as yet unnamed.

Last night, JoAnna, Rachel, Kristen, Amber and I headed to O'Gara's to hear Tim Mahoney. This gig earns the award for worst two opening bands ever. They were terrible. So terrible that we were drunk and exhausted by the time Tim Mahoney started playing, so we only stayed for a portion of his show. Don't worry Toni, we stayed until he played Shine. And he's getting pudgy!

We got back to my place, Jo left for home, Kristen and Amber called a cab and Rachel grabbed my extra comforter and left for her first night in her new apartment. In a couple hours I'm meeting Kath for brunch at the Louisiana Cafe.

No work tomorrow! hooray! This is me, really excited about that.

Hey, I have no problems living here all my life, the city I live in is wide and varied and there are almost always things to do. And my friends are here. And, less importantly my family. But yes, the cold this week has been unecessary and should be replaced.

Boy I remember those days of going out to shows on the weekends...

I keep telling Brian that I now get to live a "single" life vicariously through him.

Thanks T!

rocket - I'm not married, and I don't live the kind of life Brian does, it was a special event because it was Tim Mahoney, and the night before my birthday.

Sarah - I think you aquitted yourself well the weekend you were here. no one blames you that you weren't here this weekend. Thanks!

I would have liked if there were more skyways...tunnels.....The U has alot of tunnels to go around, but still not enough....

Happy Brithday....

dem, thanks for the happy birthday. it's true the skyways are nice, I work in downtown minneapolis and i use them frequently. And I guess more would probably be nice.

I'm going to West Side Story next Saturday night.

Friday might work though?

My theory is that they found the worst bands possible so that Tim Mahoney would sound that much better.

dawnmarie said...

pshaw, he doesn't need that much help. And it backfired, because we were so tired by the time he came on, we only wanted to leave.

Rachel said...

Yes, it definitely backfired.

poor, poor tim mahoney.

Rachel said...

At least their lack of talent didn't rub off on him.

My poor Tim.
I'm okay with him getting a little pudgy. More to...
Anyway...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY :)
And I called on the right day!

Pudgy? Really? And you even stuck around after? You are a saint! I hope he sang a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday. You deserve it!
