Let us list the firsts i've experienced in the past twoish days:
1. First time i've nearly passed out at work. One second standing, the next, on the floor. i've never seen my co-workers move so fast.
2. My first time voluntarily going to see a doctor for something other than a routine appointment.
3. My first trip to the Emergency Room without my mom.
4. My first trip to the ER where i didn't have to sit in the waiting room forever, just ziiiiiiiiiiip, right into my very own little corner of the ER.
5. First time i've had an IV. (3 liters!)
6. My very first, very cold, ride through a hospital in a wheelchair.
7. My very first CT scan.
8. My first time being given morphine
9. the first time i've ever cried because of physical pain (other than being a little kid and scraping my knee. i'm sure i cried then)
10. The first time i got to take home those oh-so-sexy hospital booties
11. The first time I've spent more than 10 minutes in one of those oh-so-sexy hospital nightgowns.
all that, and he couldn't find anything wrong with me. he gave me anti-nausea medication, because i was throwing up a bit yesterday (hence the dehydration and 3 liters) and gave me a couple things it might be, but it wasn't my appendix, thankfully. i'm still in a bit of pain, but it's significantly less than it was yesterday.
poor, poor, nick spent his friday night in the ER with me, where he learned way more than her ever wanted to know, i'm sure. i no longer have any secrets from the poor man. but i would have died had he not been there. 7 hours is a long time to sit in an ER alone.

You poor thing. I hope you are feeling much better now. How awful. And scary. I've never had any of those things and I'm pretty sure that I'd be a complete mess. Take care of yourself, okay?
*speechless*
the work thing was the weirdest. i just fell over. ploop. on the floor and crying. my co-workers were awesome though and got me home and in bed within 20 minutes from start to finish.
and now JoAnna is here, she brought me 3 books. and we're going to get more 7up and prescriptions. good times.
i hope you kick this mystery bug. :(
Holy cats!
I hope you are okay. Take care of you.
That sounded aweful.
I'm glad you're feeling better now. I was so worried when Nick left me that voicemail on Friday night!
I'm feeling much much better today, little to no stomach pain, and the nausea is being kept under control by the pills he gave me. But yeah, it did suck at the time.
Holy crap! I hope your feeling better. I was in a civil war
re-enactment once and I went down with the heat. I had a temp of
108 F and was given 9 liters. Get better real soon!!
Johnny
thanks john. i am feeling better. it was not fun. not fun at all.
holy crap, that doesn't sound fun at all. I'm glad you're feeling better!
Wow. I am glad you are feeling better....scary
thanks T, and briaƱ.
in an update i know everyone is waiting for: i'm still nauseous, but the pills he gave me help with that (except today is my last day of them!)and i'm tired, but my stomach isn't bothering me as constantly as it was, so i think i'll be able to make a full recovery.
