Camping is nature's way of promoting the motel business.

There were previously rumours of camping to be had this summer.

guess what people, camping season is upon us! when are we going? Where are we going? Who's coming with us? All are welcome, men, women, dogs, um, not really into the kids thing though...

what works for everyone? I'm ready to go people!

ok.

Weekends still available:

June 9-11
June 16-18
June 23-25

I would like to propose big Island State Park in Albert Lea as a locale. 1.5 hours from the cities. 2.5 hours from Sioux Falls. My only campground knowledge is state parks. Any other suggestions are welcome.

And I'll be in Tropical Dakota that first weekend in June.

last three weeks in may and all weeks in june i only have one class instead of two, so that would be perfect time to camp. i have no scheduled plans, i'm a hermit.

Another really nice state park is Frontenac State park.It has lots of hiking trails and the picnic area has bluffs that overlook the mighty Mississippi. Its like 20 miles past Red wing. Here's a link to all the state parks in Minnesota: http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/index.html

enjoy!

thanks John, I heart that site, jo, megs and I sued it last summer. We need something somewhat between here and sioux falls/brookings.

Carly, according to mapquest, it takes 26 hours by car.

flights range from 468-805

Wow Dawn. You did your homework. 26 hours, huh?

Rachel: have we talked about this before and I'm getting too old to remember this stuff or is this the first time you've mentioned that? I want to hear more!

Carly, I don't think I've ever mentioned it, but I went to Vancouver when I was 17 and loved it.
