I saw a guy lying there with an ankle holster. So I took the gun. Thought it might come in handy. And guess what? I just shot a bear!
So, I innocently went over to Kath's house last week, on Wednesday, because she enticed me with Gumbo. Now, I heart a good gumbo, so I hauled myself the three blocks to her house. At eight o'clock, nearly all conversation stopped, and Lost came on the television.
I'd never seen Lost before in my entire life. I as a bit confused for nearly the entire episode, yet I was very very curious about the characters. So, the next day, I went to work, and asked Kristen if I could borrow her copies of the first season. She obliged, and I stayed up too late Monday night watching the episodes. Last night, I only got to watch one episode, because of the baseball game, but it was good. Carrie burned the second season for me, so I'll be watching that too.
This morning I woke up with a monster headache, so I called in sick to work, and slept until 10:00. Now, I've been watching more episodes, (I still have a headache, but it's much less sensitive than before). There's another new episode on tonight, Kath, and Carrie, and possibly nick and Jon? are coming over to watch the baseball game, and Kath's sister is going to tape the episode for us.
Stupid TV addictions.

Oh dawn.....More comments to come when I talk to you. I won't call you now because I don't want to call you and interupt your Lost marathon:)
what? this is a perfectly respectable show, Jo!
I tried to tell you...
And really, there is a LOT of hype about the show and what people think it is...
But I just have one thing to say...
It's television.
It is television, what do people think it is?
The twins win, the twins win, the twins win......
In my take, Lost is the best show on TV these days....
Oh john...
i have never seen it. i mistook it for another reality show when it came out & just didn't care about thosee anymore. i mean, they are so 2001.
People have said that it's a show about God, that they are all in Pergatory, that they are an experiment, that they are in someone else's dream.... blah, blah, blah. People just don't understand what it's about, so they're trying to make it into what it's not... if that made sense.
I love it. It's my FAVORITE show.
what sarah said...
*thought it was reality*
jo, that's not John. John is union man something.
sarah, rachel, I totally thought it was reality TV when it came out, which is why I had never seen it.
meghann, dude, those people are on crack! A: The catholic church abolished the idea of purgatory with Vatican II, I believe, B: It's television. Don't worry, I promise not to go psycho on you.
I, too, thoguht it was reality when I heard of it. But from what I hear now, it sounds intriguing, but not enough to put it high enough in my priorities to find a time/place/etc., to watch it.
especially seeing as you don't ahve a Tv, beth...
I just wanna say that last night's episode was a good one...
and that I "hate" the stupid show.
Until next week.
When I watch it again.
Because secretly I love it.
Shhhh... don't tell anyone.
I've seen part of an episode. I can't get past how they have electricity on a *supposedly* deserted island. Convenient that there is, like, a bunker or something right there. But maybe they've explained all that and I just don't know about it yet.
Speaking of stupid tv addictions, I'm obsessed with "The Real Housewives of Orange County" on Bravo! lately. I can't seem to get enough! That and "The Flavor Of Love" with Flavor Flav. Man, I love that guy!
megs, sh! i haven't watched last night's episode yet, I'll be watching it tonight, we taped it because there was a baseball game on. and tonight's game isn't televised.
lauren, I've not gotten into the bravo shows yet. I haven't had cable for three years, so i'm going a little crazy on the TLC/HGTV shows right now.
I think it's kind of lame that shows come out with first season DVDs that second the first season is complete, but I must admit, it's fun to sit around and watch something beginning to end without having to suffer the commercia breaks and the suspense of waiting week to week.
Have never watched Lost.
