You gotta be a man to play baseball for a living, but you gotta have a lot of little boy in you, too.

For Carly, a boyfriend selection. Remember, our measurements are not metric...

Rondell White 6'1"
Designated Hitter.
Don't pick him.

Torii Hunter 6'2"
Center field

Justin Morneau 6'4"
1st base (canadian! New Westminster, BC is his birthplace!)

Joe Mauer 6'4"
Catcher

Michael Cuddyer 6'2"
Right Field/3rd Base

Jesse Crain, 6'1"
Pitcher
(born in ONT)

Carlos Silva 6'4"
Pitcher

Scott Baker 6'4"
Pitcher

Matt Guerrier 6'3"
Pitcher

Baseball is back.

Is there a height regulation on this or something?

Read Carly's Comments on sarah boyfriend post.

I don't believe that Torii is really 6'2.

Why did only Joe, Jesse, and Michael get their shirts on proper--everyone else is off-kilter, a la Captain Cheeseburger's hat.

But they're ballplayers and boyfriends. I'll admire them anyway.

Because they're the only ones whose mommies dressed them?

Yay for baseball! I love going to games... especially farm leagues, because they still love to play and it isn't just about the money.

Yay also for new photos!

lauren, you're a baseball fan? You'll do nicely.

Ok ladies, you say you are true baseball fans, which I do not doubt in the least, so let's hear them, what are your predictions on how the Twinkies will finish this year?

3rd. cleveland, chicago, minnesota, tigers, royals.

I'm stuck between Torii and Joe. Joe looks skinny, totally my style, but kind of not cute. Torri looks happy. I like that.

Any more suggestions? (I see you've slotted me in as the next Twins fan, hey Dawn?)

Also, haven't I told you that Morneau is from the same town I live in now? He used to visit his friends who worked here at the building I live in one summer. Then a guy I know had to drive his Jeep back to MN for him when he left to play.

They need to have more power on offense....Or my beloved twins will finish on 3rd or lower...agree with sah rah.

Carly, pick Mauer. He's so fantastic.

Mauer, huh? Thanks anonymous II, but I need a little more. What can you guys tell me about him?

Carly, if I were to choose between Torii and Joe, I'd pick Joe. Torii is a good fielder and has fun playing the game, but he also tends to run his mouth. Joe's a good all-around athlete. He's also pretty quiet.

Prediction for the Twins: Unless they pick up their offense, the best they'll do is second. Good pitching can only get them so far.

carly, that's nick telling you to pick joe, and its just cause he thinks he's hot, and he knows it will annoy me...

but, if picking between mauer and hunter, i'd pick mauer too, he's young, he's a fantastic baseball player and he's only going to keep getting better.

Hunter is full of ego and keeps hinting that he wants to leave Minnesota, ala daunte culpepper. He'll recant and deny it every once in awhile, but he's full of ego and tends to get annoying.

Dem, also a twins fan? welcome! *[hearts] baseball*

oh, and in answer to rockets wuestions, i'd say nearly the same as sarah. cleveland, chicago, minnesota, royals, tigers.

(I kind of want the royals to do well this year...)

Good point on mothers' dressing the boys for pictures.

I'm going to agree that unless offense does something, pitching will only get them to second at best. The central is going to be tough this year.

I don't know why, but I could see Carly having a thing for Leeeeeewwwww. Too bad he's on the short side.

Leeeeeewwwww??? Fill me in Rachel. A little short could be forgiveable.
