I'm sorry. I've been lax. I don't think I've gone a week without posting in the entire span of time my blog has been in existence.

I've been kind of sick this week, not feeling super crappy, just kind of crappy and really really low on energy. Three more weeks, and hopefully I'll finally be on the road to recovery. I think I'll buy myself some new pajamas for the occasion. Big slouchy ones. I'll also need some entertainment, so this is my shameless begging for reading material. If anyone wants to write me a letter, story, draw me a picture, and mail it to me, email me for my address.

I start grad school in just over a month. I thought I would be more nervous than I am. Really, I'm just excited for the stupid class I'm taking right now to be done. blech. it's ridiculously boring. It could be super interesting, (world religions) but the teacher makes it really unexciting.

I'm listening to some old school mix CD's here, and N'Sync - Bye Bye Bye, just came on. :flashback:

How 'bout them Twins, eh? They're rocking the casbac, and that sexy superhero is sure flying high, too.

Theresa came to town last weekend, times were good. There was a diet coke incident at Tom Reid's Pub on Friday night. I'm still sorry nick. But, in addition to any soda showers that may have been had; there was a moment where we had started singing the ducktales theme song, and the waitress came to our table. Instead of giving us a weird "what-the-heck-is-wrong-with-you-people" look. She says: "I have that on DVD at home."

I'm trying to cut down on my cursing. There are certain people who will inspire me to cussing no matter what, but in general, I could do it a lot less. I failed miserably at the soda-giving-up experiment, so I'll try this instead.

I cannot believe how fast this summer has flown by. Now, I know people say that kind of thing all the time, but I don't usually say it. But man, I cannot believe it's nearly August!

Nick has been singing "Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head" constantly for the past several weeks. As a result, the song is constantly in my head. Constantly. This morning, I opened my email to a version of the song by Ben Folds Five, from Theresa. Woohoo! It's no secret I'm a Ben Folds fan.

There. Is everyone happy now?

Yay! An update! Tom Reid's was lots of fun and that waitress kicked ass.
After reading this post, I now have Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head stuck in my head. Thanks a lot, Dawn. And Nick.
:pushes Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head out of her head:
Yay! I like updates from Dawn! I hope you feel better.
The Twins have been playing well. It's funny how that happens every time we become a minor league team. Beyond that, the tiny superhero is so...tiny and super! I'm growing very fond of him (don't worry, he's still yours!)
Hope you are feeling better soon!
That's funny, that song was already in my head before I read your post!
Abbott.
Rach - well, it's probably originally my fault, I think I started it one day when it was raining.
Beth - I'm watching you. I"m a wee bit possessive of my superhero.
Sher - I'm so sorry if you already had that song in your head.
Jo - okiya.
Dawn - I'm perfectly happy with my boyfriend, so there is positively no need to worry.
:gives Nicky a high-five:
:hugs Michael:
Dawn, have you read "High Fidelity" by Nick Hornby? I am done with my copy and I don't mind passing it on. I offered it to Carly to re-gift to Aaron for his birthday but she opted by buy new - lol!
Let me know if you want it!
Bex! I would love it! It's on of those books that has been on my list to read, but haven't. I read about a boy, but hated the movie.
Taking this post into an entirely different topic...
I enjoyed reading About A Boy, but hated the movie too, Dawn. I've read High Fidelity before and I think you'll like it. It's been a while though so I'll definitely reread once Aaron's done with his.
Glad you're back. I only get to check in once or twice a week, but it's niec to read something new when I do.
Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head. I used to know a really hot painter who sang that song outside my window one day. Sigh.
