Choose your pleasures for yourself, and do not let them be imposed upon you.

I'm stumped. I've been horribly lacking lately. Horribly. I'm sorry. Tonight is my last night of summer classes, next Wednesday I go on the Disabled List for a week and a half. During that time, I might have more time to get some posts written, but, not gonna lie, I don't have a lot to say.

Bex wins the award for best letter, story, package, because she offered to send me a book in the mail to read next week.

This is waiting for me at the UPS center near my house. I plan on picking it up tomorrow on my way home from work. I can't wait. I plan on watching several episodes while on the DL. I don't remember how it came about, but Nick, Theresa, Rach and I started singing the theme song one night at a bar, and we've been singing it ever since, so I broke down and bought the darned thing. I've also managed to put the theme song solidly in the head of our other friend, Carrie. Go me!

In my head, on my "ipod" these days:
Blame it on the Rain - Milli Vanilli
Raindrops Keep Fallin on my Head - Ben Folds Five
Ducktales Theme Song

My mom, my step-dad, my aunt Cathi, my uncle Denny, Nick, JoAnna, Megan and I, are headed up to the lake this weekend. I'm more excited than I've been for just about anything all summer long. The cabin belongs to my step-dad's brother, so we don't have a lot of access to it, and the last time we could go was the weekend of the 4th, and it just wasn't going to work. I haven't been there for a couple years, so I'm really looking forward to a weekend of not much. Just spending the day on the pontoon, lazily swimming in the lake. Ah.

Normally, I'm not the kind of person who says, "wow, this year/summer/winter/etc has gone so fast!" But this summer, wow, this summer has gone so fast! I have a hard time believing it is August and I start grad school in a month! eeep!

Nick started working fulltime this week, welcome to the real world, babe!

I have a headache, but that's a pretty consistent occurence in my life these days. I can't wait to have my energy back, and be able to deal with some other, minor things in my life. Woosh. Soon, soon, soon.

I'm out. I've completely run of babbling things to say.

Ducktales! Woo-oo! The best part of it was that the waitress didn't think we were weird, but instead told us that she had the DVDs.

This summer has gone fast.

Have fun at the cabin.

My two younger brothers and I loved Duck Tales as kids. Instead of referring to it just as Duck Tales, though, we always called the show "Duck Tales A-woo-woo." It stuck and we still refer to the show that way. :)

The summer has gone fast - where have I been?! Not here lately, I'm sorry about that! I feel like I've missed out on my blogging friends lives too much!

A weekend at the lake sounds lovely. Enjoy some frosty beverages with your sunscreen

Don't forget the sunscreen!

Love Duck Tales. It was a sacred time in our house as kids. Why don't they have shows like that many more?

I came home early, and have now watched one episode, and working on the second. I've had a headacche all day, so i took a nap, but on the way home, I picked up the DVD's.

Are you at work today?

I happen to agree with Lauren, and not only because she almost has the coolest name ever. ;)

Cartoons are SO lacking nowadays. Long gone are the DuckTales, Darkwing Ducks, TMNTs (the new one blows monkey goats), Disney shorts, Looney Tuneses, Animaniacses, Beetlejuices, etc. It makes me sad when I catch a few minutes of a new "animated series." Totally off-putting. At least we still had the good ones when we were kids.

Hey Dawn, sorry I didn't get your package out before I left on holidays, but it's here all wrapped up and addressed and ready to go, so I'll send it out ASAP. Hope you'll enjoy!
