i know i used the title quote before, but i just don't care, because i love the quote.
i made a decision this weekend. a few days ago, some friends were over, and a couple people made comments on my tree, and we talked a littlebit about my ornaments. i realized that i have never put an ornament on my tree that wasn't a gift. So i decided that i never will. i hereby resolve to not put any ornament on my tree unless it comes to me as a gift.
i bought my lights, and i think i'll buy some garland after the holidays for next year. But ornaments are going to be gift only. i love this idea. yay!

That is an awesome idea, I love it! Every ornament I have right now is a gift as well, but I didn't put my tree up this year.

well, I realized that my round bulb/ball ornaments were a set of 12 that i bought for like 6 bucks one year, but that's it.
That is a great idea, Dawn. My tree is mostly the same except I bought three ornaments while I was at Macy's in Seattle this year.
