London Bridge is falling down, falling down...

Today looks like it will be my last day of work for the week. This weekend, Nick and I are headed to Lake Havasu City, Arizona to chat for a few days with my grandparents.

According to some website, Lake Havasu City is the #4 spring break destination. I have no idea why this is. I've spent a lot of Spring Breaks in LHC, due to the g-rents (that's right, i used g-rents) and let me tell you, it's pretty much all old people. Of course there is the lake. Very pretty, Lake Havasu.

Lake Havasu's big claim to fame is the London Bridge.Turns out, the nursery rhyme doesn't lie. The bridge really was falling down. When it was around 600 years old, they tore down the old bridge and built a new one. Some eccentric American bought the old bridge and brought it Lake Havasu City. They put the sucker up, and made a canal under it.

The weather should be lovely while we're there.
So I'm out for a few days, behave in my absence!

ETA: This new word verification requirement I have been struggling with, turns out Google thinks my blog is a spam blog! What?! I'm not a spam blog! Blogger is very quickly turning into not being worth it.

I was watching a television show on Spring Break desinations this weekend and it looked pretty hopping there. Apparently, lots of students rent houseboats and split the cost with say 20 of their closest friends and then party away on the river and in some canal or something.

Have fun! At least it's warm there!

I came to say the same thing that Toni already said about houseboats. They're apparently a big deal.

Damn, those little suns look so happy.

I would also look that happy if I was going to go see those suns.

Hahaha, Tev has this old video from when he was 19 at that lake! It looked like a party then too.

People never believe me when I tell them that London Bridge is in Arizona. It's one of my favorite stories!
