Yet it is in our idleness, in our dreams, that the submerged truth sometimes comes to the top.

I'm bored.

I'm sitting at home.

Watching my second football game of the day. Football. Me.

I'm trying to think of something I can do tonight, but since all my in-town friends are otherwise occupied, I'm stuck. JoAnna is at work, Megan is MIA, Jenny is at work, Carrie has a 3-year-old, and Nick is at church.

Well, I think I'm going to go for a walk. I'll see you all later.

Everybody seems bored these days. Bored and unispired. I swear you're one of only a couple people I know that have continued regular blogging. I think everyone else is feeling uninspired. Bored and uninspired. The state of the world today.

On the upside... football. Great! I want you to jump right in so that by next season we'll be able to talk some serious NFL. ; )

Carly, I have to confess, I'm doing regular blogging, because then I have comments to read. That, and I'm quite narcissistic and I think people want to know all about my life.

I don't know that I'll be ready to talk serious NFL next season. You have no idea how remarakable that I'm watching football at all, is.

But you must promise to Never, ever, ever cheer for the Vikings.

You forgot Brian is drunk...lol

P.S when I need to be inspired
1.) I think about the different sizes of infinity..cantors theory
2.)I whip out Yann Arthus-Bertrand 366 Days From Above and look-up todays date.
3.)I become a tourist in my home town. You know all those weird local books i have? I go to those places by myself.
4.) I draw...something about watching light fall on an object and trying to recreate it with shades of value that leaves me in awe everytime.
5.) Sit downtown at a bus stop with a sign that says "The Begining is Near." And stay there until I talk to 10 people.

And other stuff...Happy Tuesday

Hey, I'm returning my books today after work, what time will you be at school?

Brianinmpls said...

I should be there at like 4:30 today since I have some homework I didn't do this weekend.

dawnmarie said...

oh. I'll be gone by then.

dawnmarie said...

sorry. I guess it partially depends on if there is a line for the bookstore. If I'm still there at 4:!5 I'll wait for you to get there. How's that?

No worries about the Vikings. They're on my soon to come '2005's Most Disgusting People' post. I can't stand them!

And I'll tell you something... I think you need to be a bit narcissistic in order to blog. There's just no other way.

phew. glad to hear that about the Vikings. They're terrible, and some of my extended family members take their love to overtly embarrasing heights.

I thought that you hated football?

Didn't you say that football turned your family into demons or something?

When I am uninspired...mmmhhhh.. I think I talk to Brian.

Rachel said...

ahem!

*is a Vikings fan*

dawnmarie said...

rocketstar, I said I hate professional football. But, I am pretty sure I just hate the Vikings. Because I truly believe that an unrealistic love of the vikings turned my family into demons. You are correct. However, Nick watches football, and I got caught up in it lst weekend watching it with him, and I think I've sunk into the depths of a liking for it.

Rach - It's ok, we all have our faults.

What a weekend to get back into it.

Great games, go Steelers!!

MTRR say rah! publicly picked the steelers to beat the colts. while she would love to see them trounce the broncos (go chargers!), she feels there will be a let down and they will not be going on to detroit.

that's my - er, her - official call.

stupid jake plummer and his porn star mustache...

Go Broncos!

dawnmarie said...

yeah, rocketstar, watching the colts/steelers game, I actually leapt off my couch and cheered towards the end. I was so into it.

say rah! I went 1-3 for picks last weekend. And I don't really care who goes on to detroit. Although I'm thinking of having a superbowl party, because I like having parties, and I'll have this great new apartment with cable.

Rachel said...

*ears perk up* Superbowl party? I like Superbowl parties. Too bad I'll probably either be in ND or moving that weekend.

dawnmarie said...

well, you'll be here until the 4th, you couldn't hang out one extra day? You can move the next weekend, it's not like your stuff is going anywhere.

Rachel said...

It all depends on if I find a job and how many calves are running around at home. Dad isn't going to be too pleased if I tell him he has to leave the farm for a weekend to help me move when half of the cows are supposed to be having calves.

Oh hell, Sandy and Travis can take care of the cattle for a weekend. I think.

Holy comments, batman.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, Rach, chances are I will not be having a superbowl party.

i went 2-4 last weekend.

pats and bears ruined me.

Rachel said...

*wonders what other 2 games Say Rah! was doing picks for*

I was 2-2. Colts and Pats took me down.

dawnmarie said...

sarah, how many games were you watching? *confused*

rach, it appears I will be having a superbowl party, with kath's cheesecake, you're welcome to stick around.

Anyone else reading this is also welcome.

i went two for four...?

Rachel said...

Ah. *read it as 2 and 4*

dawnmarie said...

as did I. I get it now. she went 2 and 2.

And I don't think I've EVer had this many comments on such a boring entry.

I should update today too...

dawnmarie said...

I don't have anything to update on, sorry.
