What are everyone's thoughts on weddings? I know Sarah and Rachel are not fans.
Me, I love weddings. Either you get to watch someone you know and love pledge to be with someone for life, it's a symbol of love, a beautiful, lasting expression of true, ultimate friendship. Most of us see that and think, "they're happy. someday, I'm going to find that person, my best friend, someone who loves me for me and not what I can become or what they can make me. Plus, sometimes there's free booze! I like me some wine and a chance to wear a pretty dress.
Or, it is an opportunity to be awed by ostentation and stupidity. To judge the decisions that others make, because come on, we can all make decisions for others better than they can. You would never do something "that ____" or "I can't believe he/she is marrying her/him!" Come on, everyone judges. If you say that you don't, well, I'll try my hardest to believe you, but there will be some skepticism there, but I'll try, I promise.
Me, I judge. Mostly family, but there are issues there I won't go into online. I've been to a couple weddings in my lifetime where I was truly happy for the couple.
Bottom line is, I love weddings. In fact, I love them so much, I think I'll have one of my own.
